With bus, train, and bicycle in the VRT

The season begins and just in time the RadBusse – special bicycle buses – and the trains are getting on their way. They make your cycling in the VRT operational area even easier. Trains have no limitations on length of validity, so that you can use them as well for winter cycling tours.

In the buses, your bicycle(s) will be transported in specially designed hangers. You can board at the bus stops designated for this purpose and, at the hubs and change from the train to the bicycle bus.

All information is available on the Raderlebniskarte (cycling adventure map), which you can download here (in German).

The right ticket for cycling

If you wish to take you bicycle in the RegioRadler, you need two tickets: one ticket for yourself and one ticket for your bicycle. The ticket price for passenger transport – according to the VRT tariffs – is calculated on the basis of the respective route travelled. In the RadBusse, adult bicycle transport costs € 3.00 per trip and € 2.00 for a child’s bicycle (children up to and including age 14) additionally a service charge of € 1.50 for 5 bikes.

You can also book your bicycles by telephone (+49 01805/ / 723287 or 01805 / RADBUS), which is connected with costs. Otherwise the service charge accounts € 6.00 for 5 bikes.

Reservation for bicycle transport

At www.radbusse.de you can secure your “bicycle space” in all RadBusse buses.
